What is Chromium (III) Oxide? It is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Cr₂O₃, it appears as a dark green powder. It's a principal oxide of chromium, meaning it's one of the main compounds formed when chromium reacts with oxygen. It's widely used as a pigment, giving a characteristic opaque green color. It also has applications in metallurgy, chrome plating, and anodising aluminum.

Frequent Uses

Pigments
