Eosin Y (1% Aqueous): A ready‑to‑use, aqueous based formulation of Eosin Y (C₂₀H₈Br₄O₅) at 1%. It is the most common counterstain in the Haematoxylin and Eosin method (H&E). It is strongly fluorescent, but this property is hardly ever used.
