Hydrophilic Polycarbonate (PCTE) Membrane Filters, 3.0 Micron, 300mm x 3000mm

Sterlitech’s hydrophilic polycarbonate track-etch (PCTE) membrane filters offer low non-specific binding, excellent aqueous compatibility, and consistent particle retention, making them ideal for sterile filtration, biological assays, and environmental monitoring. Treated with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), these membranes wet easily without additional agents, allowing immediate use with water-based or alcoholic solutions.

Produced using a proprietary two-step process, these filters feature precise cylindrical pores, predictable flow rates, and uniform pore distribution for highly repeatable results. Their translucent, glass-like surface provides superior visibility under microscopy, supporting reliable particle or cell analysis.

Key Features

  • Hydrophilic, PVP-treated surface for aqueous and alcohol-based samples
  • Low non-specific binding for biological and diagnostic applications
  • Thin, translucent membrane for enhanced microscopic visibility
  • Absolutely-rated cylindrical pores for consistent retention
  • Strong, low-extractable polycarbonate construction

Reliable Performance in Filtration and Microscopy Workflows

Sterlitech’s hydrophilic PCTE membranes are widely used across clinical, industrial, and research settings. Applications range from virus and mycoplasma filtration, bacteria removal, and cell culture studies, to EPA leachate testing, SEM imaging, and plasma or serum pre-filtration. These membranes are also ideal for fluorescent microscopy, tissue culture with collagen matrices, and fine particulate analysis in corrosive fluids.

Note: To maintain hydrophilicity, membranes should not be allowed to dry after wetting.
