The acidity of Phosphoric Acid serves as a pH regulator and acidulant in food and beverage manufacturing, and in agriculture its utilised as a fertiliser additive to enhance the phosphorus content in soil, promoting plant growth and development.

Frequent Uses

Aluminium Cleaning

It is used to clean and prepare aluminium for painting, anodising, or coating by removing oxidation and impurities from the surface.

Cleaning Leather Goods

In very diluted form, phosphoric acid can be used to clean and restore leather items, especially when there are tough stains or the leather has been exposed to harsh conditions. However, this should be done with extreme care to avoid damaging the leather.

Pool pH Regulation

It can help lower the pH of swimming pool water, especially if the pH level is too high, leading to cloudy water or scaling issues. It should be used sparingly and after proper testing of the water's pH level.

Rust Removal

Effective at removing rust and corrosion from metal surfaces. When diluted, it can be used to clean metal parts, tools, and even appliances that have rust buildup.
