Polyvinylidene Flouride (PVDF) Membrane Filters, 0.2 Micron, 300mm x 3000mm

Sterlitech PVDF membrane filters are hydrophilic, low-extractable, and extremely low in protein binding, making them ideal for chromatographic sample prep, biological sterilisation, and solvent-based filtration. With high flow rates and broad chemical compatibility, these filters are especially suited to aggressive acids, alcohols, and organic solvents used in HPLC and uHPLC workflows.

Engineered to transmit minimal extractables and require no wetting agents, PVDF filters maintain sample purity and integrity during critical procedures. Their protein binding capacity is significantly lower than that of nylon, PTFE, or nitrocellulose membranes—making them the preferred choice for preparing proteinaceous solutions in analytical and biopharmaceutical labs.

Key Features

  • Hydrophilic with no need for wetting agents
  • Exceptionally low protein binding
  • Minimal extractables for maximum sample purity
  • High flow rates and throughput
  • Chemically compatible with a wide range of solvents and acids

Reliable Performance in Chromatography and Biological Filtration

Sterlitech PVDF membranes are available in 0.22 µm and 0.45 µm pore sizes, offering flexibility across sterile filtration and analytical workflows. The 0.22 µm variant is ideal for ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (uHPLC), helping prevent column plugging and analytical drift. These membranes are also well suited for buffer sterilisation, cell culture media preparation, and clarification of sensitive biological solutions, where purity and low adsorption are critical.

  • Aqueous and compatible organic HPLC samples and mobile phases
  • Filtration/sterilization of proteinaceous aqueous solutions (culture media or cell  lysate)
  • Filtration of aqueous solutions (strong acids, bases, and oxidizers) and compatible solvents (alcohols, aromatic hydrocarbons)
