Wet-strengthened filter papers are manufactured from a majority of alpha-cellulose. The smooth surface allows for fibre-free filtration. They feature a high wet strength and can also be used in the filtration of strong alkaline or acid solutions. Due to their high mechanical strength, they are suited to applications where the residue is removed from the filter, for example with a spatula or a jet of water.

Grade 324: is a fast-filtering wet-strengthened paper designed for applications requiring high throughput and heavy particle retention. With an extremely high loading capacity, it is ideal for the filtration of coarse and gelatinous precipitates. The creped surface increases the effective surface area, enhancing filtration speed. Grade 324 is also used in the clarification of essential oils, where its fast flow and strong particle retention help improve clarity without loss of volatile components.

Application: Gelatinous Precipitates, Coarse Particle Filtration, Clarification of Essential Oils

Key Features

Wet Strength: Durable enough for aggressive filtration methods or residue removal.

Fast Filtration Speed: Ideal for high-volume and rapid-processing needs.

High Loading Capacity: Designed to handle bulky or viscous material without clogging.

Creped Surface: Expanded surface area increases flow rate and retention efficiency.

Essential Oil Clarification: Commonly used for removing particulates and residues from essential oil extracts.

  • Clarification of essential oils in cosmetic or natural product processing
  • Filtration of ferric, aluminium, or magnesium hydroxide precipitates
  • Coarse particle removal in industrial or environmental testing
  • High-volume liquid clarification where speed and capacity are priorities
  • Suitable for use in Buchner funnels and other vacuum-assisted systems
