Sterlitech PETE (polyester) Membrane Filters, 0.1 Micron, 13mm - 142mm

Sterlitech PETE (polyester) membrane filters are hydrophilic, solvent-resistant membranes made from a translucent, microporous polyester film. Designed for applications that require consistent pore control and high particle retention accuracy, these membranes are especially suited to blood assays, sample clarification, and microscopic analysis.

Key Features

  • Hydrophilic microporous polyester membrane

  • Highly solvent-resistant for broader compatibility

  • Smooth, flat surface for enhanced microscopic particle visibility

  • Precisely controlled pore size and density

  • Suitable for filtration, prefiltration, and diagnostic assay use

Precision Surface and Solvent Resistance

With a smooth, flat surface that enhances particle visibility, PETE membranes allow for efficient inspection and reliable capture of particles larger than the specified pore size. Compared to polycarbonate (PCTE) membranes, PETE offers similar structural properties with the added advantage of improved solvent resistance. These membranes are manufactured through a proprietary two-step track-etch process, ensuring precise control over pore size and density for reproducible performance.

  • Precise General Filtration and Prefiltration

  • Removal of red blood cells from plasma

  • Flow control of reagents through assay
