These filters are manufactured from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) using a track-etch process, resulting in membranes with uniform pore sizes and smooth surfaces. Their naturally hydrophilic nature eliminates the need for pre-wetting, making them suitable for aqueous-based filtrations.​
